NOTE: The deed of settlement was signed, sealed and delivered by Thomas Icely, William Frederick Jones, John Savery Todd, Saul Samuel, Randolph John Want, Robert Archibald Alison Morehead and Matthew Young in the presence of John Slade, a solicitor from Sydney. In 1865 there were up to 600 people living near the mine at Cadia Village. In 1868, the mine was closed down.
