Spines gilt, with raised bands and contrasting morocco titling labels. (2 iv, 428, 120, x, 490,2,44pp.). With 3 engraved plates of which 2 are folded, woodcut text-figs, and head and tailpiece ornaments. Title-pages printed in red/black ink. Endpapers discoloured, otherwise an excellent complete set of Ray's travels with Francis Willughby through Europe in 1663-1665 compiling a systematic examination of the continents natural history and flora. Vol. II bears the title: A Collection of Curious Travels and Voyages, containing Dr Leonhart Rauwolf's Journey into the Eastern Countries; As well as Travels into Greece, Asia Minor, Egypt, Arabia felix, ...
